SKILL – Playfully Understanding the Effects of AI in Schools

SKILL („Auswirkungen von Künstlicher Intelligenz in der Schule spielend erfassen" — playfully understanding the effects of artificial intelligence in schools) strengthens privacy literacy in school media education. In workshops with teachers and students, the project explores how artificial intelligence is perceived in everyday school life, and develops educational concepts and training modules on that basis. An interactive escape box with AI applications lets participants experience algorithmic processes hands-on and reflect critically on data protection risks.

The project is coordinated by Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and carried out together with Goethe University Frankfurt and Codenauten GmbH. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) within the research programme “Plattform Privatheit – IT-Sicherheit schützt Privatheit und stützt Demokratie”.
