CCWS @ Civic Data Barcamp

Next week, Ula Przybylska and Dan Verständig will travel to Erfurt to participate in the Civic Data Barcamp.
As part of the event, they will introduce the first iteration of The Biased Five, an unplugged, role-play-based workshop exploring Social Explainable AI (sXAI) through play, discussion, and collaborative reflection.
In the workshop, participants step into different everyday scenarios in which AI systems influence decisions, routines, and social interactions. Rather than explaining AI through technical concepts, The Biased Five invites participants to experience, question, and negotiate algorithmic decision-making from multiple perspectives.
The workshop serves as an experimental playground for developing educational approaches to Critical Computational Literacy and Social Explainable AI, where explanation is understood as a social, participatory, and situated practice.
We’re looking forward to meeting the Civic Data community, sharing ideas, and testing this new format together with participants.
