Its focus is the notion of the in-between as a space of the undecided — a space that dwindles in binary-algorithmic structures, and with it the basis of a critically reflexive relation to oneself, to others, and to the world.

Co-Constructive Interaction with Language Models

This doctoral project investigates how explanations can be developed jointly in the interaction between humans and large language models. Building on hybrid interaction systems, explanation as a social practice, and AI literacy, it develops the concept of co-constructive prompting: an iterative process of examining, refining, and extending generated explanations. Three exploratory studies trace how users organize, monitor, and reflect on their interaction with LLMs.

Meet us at the ECER 2026!

Meet us at ECER 2026 in Tampere, where we will present our work from the SKILL project and join the international conversation on educational research.

Anna Bräunig

Anna Bräunig is a research associate in the working group and works in the SKILL project.
